A list of first and last names of entrants and name of vessel is also required. One group text per vessel is acceptable.

• No breathing aid other than a snorkel is permitted

• Mechanical propulsion, varying weight or any other unconventional freedive assists are not allowed

• Competitors must be fully immersed in the water at the time of spearing any fish

• Boats shall be launched from the nominated boat ramp no earlier than 5am – no diving before sunrise. All fish weighed in must be taken using a spear gun or pole spear whilst freediving.

• Points will be tallied as per the table below (aligns with the AUF system) – only one fish per ‘Fish Species/Type’ category can be entered

• There is no limit to the distance in which you can travel, provided you leave from and return to the nominated ramp

• Weigh in commences at 1530hrs at the SPOILBANK CAR PARK AREA opposite the ramp. All competitors must have weighed in their fish (or be in the queue) by 4.00pm at the latest.

● Assist with placing the fish into a boat or float

● Handing a float to the diver.

● Assist with managing sharks

● Placing a second shot into the other diver’s fish

● NOTE – shot assist (i.e., dive buddy spearing fish to increase chance of landing fish) will be accepted for competition scoring purposes but this will render the catch invalid for record purposes.

LEVEL OF ASSISTANCE RENDERING A CATCH INVALID (FOR CLUB RECORD PURPOSES ONLY)

● Placing a second shot into the other diver’s fish

● Handing a loaded gun to the other attached diver

Only one section of a mutilated fish (post shark bite or cut into pieces etc) may be entered.

The section itself must comply with the WA fisheries (DPIRD) rules. No additional weight allowance or combining of multiple sections for weighing will be allowed.

Any protests must be formally submitted in writing with a $20 fee and shall be reviewed by the committee and acted on accordingly. The $20 will be reimbursed if the protest is upheld.

The prize presentation will be held immediately after the weigh-in. If winning entrants are not present during the presentation, prizes will be kept with the club Treasurer until they can be collected.

All participants shall ensure their catch complies with the WA fisheries (DPIRD) rules; these include:
