Cape Keraudren Comp and Camp 2020

The 2nd Cape Keraudren camp and comp just finished and was a huge success,

Our best turn out so far.

We had awesome weather and incredible visibility resulting in a successful event for the NWSFC.

The early morning sign on was greeted with an easy launch, boats headed out in every direction to start an eagerly anticipated competition.

At the weigh in we were all amazed at the variety of species and the quality of the fish speared.

Rarely we saw that many fish weighed-in. The top 6 teams were very close and it was only a matter of a few kilos to separate them.

A few club records have been added. The Ladies, for example did very well with 3 new club records.

Some exceptional species were landed or sight as a Wahoo or a sailfish.

The club once again had fantastic prizes and the competitors were rewarded for their efforts.

As a tradition in Cape Keraudren, the club had organised a BBQ and some drinks, we light a fire, sat around it, and the rest of the night got spent telling stories of the day and sharing good moments. Obviously, as the content of the esky reducing, the size of the famous missed fish increased... But this is another story...

A huge thank you to all the members for the participation because without you, there is no point to organise anything, the committee, the sponsors ( Broadspectrum, Jupps, Tenderspot, liquor barons, MV marine and diving and Truckline) and Cape Keraudren ranger for allowing this event to be successful.

We hope everyone enjoyed it.

Our next rendez-vous is for the Cressi comp in Hedland the Saturday 10th of october.
